09/19/2025 Audio file playback not playing on Android#

Since today, 09/18/2025, at 19:30 GMT+03, we've noticed an issue with listening to audio files on WhatsApp for Android. The issue affects WhatsApp versions later than 2.25.22.80.

When sending audio files using the SendFilebyUrl and SendFileByUpload methods on Android devices, the audio file is displayed but not played.

On WhatsApp for other platforms, audio files play without errors. We also haven't seen any issues on older versions of WhatsApp for Android (2.25.22.80 and below).

The issue is caused by changes on the WhatsApp side.
We're already working on restoring audio message playback.
